Terms of use
Last updated:
Patients who take a ticket have no account and are not parties to these terms.
1. The service #
Dorek is a digital waiting list for practices that see patients in order of arrival. A patient in the room scans a QR code shown in the waiting room, gets an anonymous number and follows their turn on their phone. The doctor calls patients from their phone.
Dorek manages the order in which patients are seen. It gives no medical advice, books no appointments and replaces neither the patient’s file nor the doctor’s judgement. The estimated wait shown to patients is a guide only.
2. Your account #
You provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what is done from your account. Each waiting room belongs to one doctor; a clinic can group several rooms.
3. Free trial #
The free trial lasts 7 days, or 14 days if you sign up with a link from a colleague or a Dorek ambassador. It requires no payment and no bank card. Dorek may extend a 7-day trial.
When the trial ends, patients can no longer take a number in your waiting rooms until the subscription is paid.
4. Subscription, prices and payment #
You subscribe per waiting room, monthly or yearly (10 months paid for 12). Prices are those shown on the Prices page at the time of your order, all taxes included.
Dorek sends you an invoice. You pay it by CIB or Edahabia card through a payment link, or by CCP transfer quoting the invoice number. The subscription starts as soon as the payment is received.
Prices may change without notice. A change never affects the period you have already paid.
Dorek ambassadors are never allowed to receive a payment on Dorek’s behalf. Do not give them any money.
5. Referrals #
A subscribed practice can invite a colleague from the app. The invited colleague gets a 14-day trial. If they make their first payment within 30 days after their trial ends, they get one free month (two for a yearly payment), and so does the practice that invited them, up to 12 free months a year. Referrals earn months of licence, never money. Dorek may refuse a reward in case of abuse, for example two accounts for the same practice.
6. Your commitments #
- Use Dorek to organise your practice’s waiting room, and for nothing else.
- Enter no personal or medical data about patients in Dorek: no name, no phone number, no reason for the visit.
- Respect the code of medical ethics, in particular the ban on advertising.
- Not try to get around the service’s protections.
7. Dorek’s commitments #
- Collect no personal data about patients through the ticket.
- Show no advertising on the waiting-room screen.
- Publish no list of subscribed practices.
- Do its best to keep the service available, and give notice of planned interruptions.
- Reply to your messages as quickly as we can.
8. Availability and liability #
Dorek works over the internet. If the practice’s connection drops, the screen shows “Connection lost” with the last known state and reconnects by itself, and the doctor can carry on from their phone. Dorek cannot guarantee a service with no interruption at all.
Dorek is not responsible for medical decisions, for the order of patients chosen by the doctor, or for failures of the practice’s equipment or connection.
9. Personal data #
The processing of account data is described in the privacy policy.
10. End of the subscription #
You can stop your subscription at any time. You keep access to the app until the end of the period you have already paid.
Dorek may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after warning you, except in an emergency.
11. Governing law #
These terms are governed by Algerian law. In case of a dispute, the parties first look for an amicable solution. Failing that.
12. Changes #
Dorek may change these terms. Subscribed doctors are told by email before important changes take effect.
